We were called in to remove a dead field maple as the homeowners were selling their house and the new buyers were concerned about the state of the tree, especially as it had been flagged up on their searches as being covered by a TPO.

As the tree was definitely dead, a quick conversation with the local tree officer allowed us to proceed with a 5 day notice being served. It was still a very solid dead tree and so it was safe to climb and remove, albeit with lighter rigging than with a living and healthy tree.
Day 1 was spent removing the canopy and with day 2 bringing in the bigger machines to remove the timber and grind the stump, ready for a replacement tree to be planted later in the year.

The mini loader is essential for reducing the manual handling of large timber, reducing the stresses and strains of lifting by hand, reducing the time required on the saws (saving fuel and vibration hours on the user) but also it is key on reducing the mess made with ringing up timber and so reducing the time spent clearing up!
